AI Ethiquettes

The ethics and etiquette of everyday AI.

How we use AI

A site about AI ethics should be open about its own AI use. Every post carries one or more of these badges:

  • Human-written: Researched and written by a person; AI used only for spelling or grammar.
  • AI-assisted, human-checked: AI helped with outline, research summaries or a first draft; a person rewrote it, checked every fact and approved it.
  • AI-generated image: One or more visuals were made with an AI image tool and are labelled in their captions.
  • AI voice: The audio version is narrated by an AI voice.

What we never do

  • Publish AI-written text that no person has rewritten and fact-checked.
  • Invent quotes, sources, people or statistics.
  • Use AI images that could be mistaken for real photos of real events without a label.
